Online Marketing Specialist

Position Summary:
  • This is a B2B/B2C marketing position that requires a sharp, creative mind and an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • You’ll join the Corporate Marketing team who is focused on delivering smart and efficient direct marketing programs to our Consumer customers & Retail Channel Partners.
  • Armed with deep knowledge of our products, market trends and individual customer needs, you’ll brainstorm, develop and refine compelling, customized marketing programs that deliver results.
  • Your primary goals: bring insightful marketing strategies and ideas to our internal partners and execute in the marketplace.
  • Work with manager to develop annual trade show strategy and plan in conjunction with sales
  • Create messaging, collateral, talking points and other external communications
  • Work with cross-functional business partners to ensure consist messaging and brand compliance
  • Develop smart, integrated, B2C direct mail programs & plans for our customers and execute from A-Z. Marketing activities may include direct mail campaigns, e-blasts, magazine articles, advertisements, web banners and social networks, including Facebook.
  • Utilize measurement tools to mine data and analyze results in order to refresh campaigns for maximum optimization.
  • Support Business Unit’s and Channel teams’ needs by developing customer and consumer copy, and creating relevant tools that will add value to both Channels.
  • Acquire and share deep knowledge of a specific industry sector, its competitive landscape, customers’ products and key business issues that affect the customer and industry.
Public Relations
  • Work with manager to develop vertical press strategy and write press releases and pitch briefs
  • Work with CO press agency to pitch stories to the media
  • Secure executives for media and speaking opportunities
  • Stage press events where large groups of journalists are invited
  • Develop case studies or white papers to be used when pitching the media
  • Support development of annual marketing plan
  • Project manage cross functional marketing efforts and tactics
  • Manage and report on vertical marketing budget
  • Track and report ROI from all integrated activities
  • Provide project supervision and communication for development and scripting of all promotional materials
  • Contribute strong copy writing and editing skills for a variety of print materials, from news releases and media advisories, to brochures and customer correspondence, customer presentations, and other projects
  • Represent CO to outside constituents #press, community, etc.
  • + 5 years of online marketing experience
  • Experience in internet/mobile marketing industry critical
  • 5 – 7 years professional experience in a marketing capacity
  • At least 3-5 years of direct marketing experience or agency experience
  • 2-3 years of B2B marketing experience or Channel marketing role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with presentation and press release development
  • Able to quickly understand new concepts and translate into written form
  • Ability to work cross functionally in a large and complex organization to proactively drive initiatives forward
  • Highly effective at establishing and maintaining productive relationships
  • Broad understanding of marketing, advertising and public relations strategies
  • Superior analytical skills that include the ability to analyze and segment data
  • Strong project management, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly evolving team environment both internally and externally
  • Team player, self-starter, proactive, with the ability to manage and organize tasks independently
  • Advanced level of proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
